The move does not have to be completed before Thursday’s 11pm deadline as the Chinese Super League’s transfer window remains open until the end of February.Fellaini is set to leave Old Trafford five-and-a-half years after joining Manchester United from Everton, having penned permanent terms with the Red Devils to follower manager David Moyes from Goodison Park. He has been a divisive figure during his time with United, often being criticised by fans but continuing to hold the trust of his managers; Jose Mourinho was especially keen on the towering Belgian. However, injury has restricted him to just one appearance under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Fellaini looks set to depart United having played 177 times for the club.He chipped in with 22 goals and 12 assists during that time, and leaves Old Trafford having won the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup and the Europa League.Fellaini will become the second Belgian midfielder to leave the Premier League for China throughout the winter window, following Mousa Dembele who joinedGuangzhou R&F from Tottenham earlier this month.
