Former Manchester United boss David Moyes has revealed the club had a helicopter ready to bring Gareth Bale to Old Trafford before the Welshman moved to Real Madrid in 2013.Moyes was appointed Red Devils manager following Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013, but was sacked after just ten months in the job during a disastrous season.The Scot didn’t even see out the whole campaign, with Ryan Giggs replacing him for the final weeks and securing United a seventh place finish in the Premier League.2
