He enjoyed remarkable success with the Hoops by winning back-to-back trebles of Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup.The club were on for an historic treble treble this season, but Rodgers gave that up to instead return to English football as Leicester manager, succeeding Claude Puel.Speaking at the launch of this year’s BT Sport Pub Cup, Hartson told talkSPORT.com: “I thought the timing was wrong from Brendan. “I think the Celtic fans would have appreciated if hed have said he was leaving at the end of the season but stuck around for the potential treble treble.“I know he brought incredible success before he left but I just think it was the way it happened.“If Leicester wanted their man, they would have waited. If hed have said he had a job to do and hed not finished what hed done at Celtic then I think the fans would have understood.”Hartson scored 109 goals in 201 games for Celtic during a five-season spell with the club.3
