Dorset police confirmed on Thursday that the body recovered from the plane which crashed in the English Channel was formally identified as Cardiffs record signing.The body of pilot David Ibbotson is still missing.Cardiff issued a statement following the news on Thursday evening, which read: We offer our most heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the family of Emiliano. The Piper Malibu N264DB plane lost contact with air traffic control over the Channel during a flight from Nantes to Cardiff on Monday January 21.Sala, who wasannounced as Cardiffs club-record signingonly three days earlier, was in France saying goodbye to former team-mates at the Ligue 1 club.
