Manchester United news: Club confirm season ticket price freeze and introduce ‘atmosphere section’ in Stretford End
Manchester United have revealed season ticket prices have been frozen for the eighth year in a row.United are currently battling for a Champions League place next season and currently occupy fourth place, with caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer putting himself at the front of the queue for the full-time job.Season ticket prices at Old Trafford will be frozen for the 2019/20 season1

In a statement from the club confirming the price freeze, the club also said: “With 53,000 Season Tickets and more than 100,000 on the waiting list, Old Trafford consistently sells out and demand is increasing year-on-year. Due to this high level of demand, Season Tickets will once again only be available to Official Members on the current waiting list.”

The most expensive adult season ticket at Old Trafford this season was 950 for selected areas of the Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Bobby Charlton stands.The lower tiers of the East Stand and Stretford End are the cheapest at 532. That is the equivalent of individual match tickets ranging from 50 to 28.The club also introduced a new youth pricing structure last season, which allowed fans between the age 18 and 25 to get discounted tickets.

THE PRICE IS RIGHT

Pricing concessions for younger supporters at Old Trafford:
  • 10 per game Season Ticket price for Under 16s in dedicated Family areas
  • Half-price tickets for other under 18s & those 65+ (prices from 14 per game, and capped at 20)
  • 25% discount for 18-20 year olds
  • Fixed price of 15 per game for 18-25 year olds in the Stretford End lower
  • Supporters will continue to receive a 25% reduction for Carabao Cup and UEFA Europa League (if applicable) games
In addition, United will also introduce a dedicated ‘atmosphere section’ in the Stretford End first tier following successful fan-led trials over the past two seasons.Richard Arnold, Group Managing Director said: The support from our fans and the atmosphere they generate is incredible, so were delighted to be freezing Season Ticket prices once again in recognition of that.
